Metro Government Closed Friday for Furlough

May 1 is final furlough day of fiscal year
Louisville Metro Government offices will be closed Friday, May 1 for a furlough day.
Non-essential government employees will not report to work, as part of the city’s effort to meet a $20 million projected budget shortfall.
Garbage and recycling will be picked up as regularly scheduled. Storm debris curbside collection will also continue on schedule.
Metro Parks golf courses will be open on Friday, as will the Louisville Zoo.
Emergency responders – police, fire, EMS and Metro Corrections – will operate as normal.
