Mayor Greg Fischer Newsroom

Connect With Mayor Fischer Online Dec. 5

Monday November 28, 2011

Mayor Fischer available on Facebook, Twitter from 6-8 p.m.

Have a question or suggestion for Mayor Greg Fischer or other city officials? Then go online and connect on Facebook or Twitter. In keeping with his commitment to open, accessible government, Fischer’s next quarterly session of connecting with citizens through social media will be Dec. 5, 6p.m.-8p.m.

“We had a super response from people all over the city on many topics and city service issues at our last online session – there was a lot of energy out there,” Fischer said. “I enjoy hearing from citizens. If you have a suggestion, we want to hear it, and if you have a question – we’ll find the answer.”

To connect with Greg on Facebook, click here, or on Facebook go to “Mayor Greg Fischer”. For Twitter, click here, or use @louisvillemayor.

During the Dec. 5 social media session, the mayor will be joined by key department and agency directors and other city officials to help in responding to citizen questions.

The quarterly online sessions are in addition to the face-to-face meetings, called “Talk to Greg” that Fischer has with citizens every other month at locations throughout the city. The next “Talk to Greg” session will be held Jan. 9 at a location to be announced soon.
