“Talk to Greg” meetings set for four local schools in 2012
Got a big idea for the city, or a small problem in your neighborhood? You can tell Mayor Greg Fischer and other city officials about it in person at four upcoming sessions at local schools in different areas of the community.
“Talk to Greg” meetings are scheduled for Jan. 9 at Fern Creek High School, March 12 at Portland Elementary, May 14 at Fairdale High and July 9 at Chancey Elementary.
“I always enjoy hearing directly from citizens on what’s working, what’s not working and how we can do things better,” Fischer said. “Whether it’s a big idea for moving our entire city forward, or something that impacts your neighborhood, I’m ready to listen.”
The meetings with citizens are held every other month on the second Monday of the month at locations throughout the city. They start at 6 p.m. At each meeting, Fischer is joined by city department directors, mayor’s office staff and Metro Councilmembers. All citizen suggestions and requests are entered into a computerized city tracking system for follow up and response.
