Establishments Cited Under Adult Entertainment Ordinance / Land Development Code
Louisville Metro Government is using two primary tools to regulate adult-oriented businesses: Adult Entertainment Ordinance – Prohibits adult entertainment establishments from locating within 500 feet of a neighborhood, church or school. Similar laws have been the subject of legal battles across the country at the federal court level regarding their constitutionality.

Long-time Director of Louisville Zoo Retires, Takes on Birmingham ‘Challenge’
Mayor Jerry Abramson announced today that Dr. Bill Foster, Director of the Louisville Zoo, will retire from Louisville Metro Government at the end of the year. Foster will move to Birmingham, Alabama, where he has accepted a job as Chief Executive Officer of the Birmingham Zoo.
