VISION
As your District 1 representative, I am committed to building relationships with my neigh-bors to create a thriving area that respects and values the contributions of our elders, that cares about our youth, that is environmentally safe, where residents are healthy, where businesses are investing and where unity is felt from the west to the southwest.
MISSION
Working together, we can create…. I’m actually leaving the mission of the D1 office up to the constituents. Please contact our office with your mission statement ideas.
VALUES
I believe in being accessible. Every resident of District 1 should be able to contact me and know that my office will be responsive to your needs.
I believe in being held accountable. As your District 1 representative, I open up myself to public criticism and scrutiny and to creating community partnerships that are built on mutual respect and trust.
I believe in being connected to my community. Communication is an important factor in any relationship and I especially value it in relationships with my consti-tuents. You will have timely and thoughtful information and updates from me and my staff in person, at our quarterly community conversations, in our monthly e-News and quarterly mailed newsletter, on Facebook, twitter and other public spaces.
I believe in a legislative body that is responsible. We must be good stewards of public funds and resources and I am committed to making sure that we make wise decisions about prioritizing use of capital improvement funds and neighbor-hood development funds.
I believe in a government that is transparent. Please know that I maintain regular hours in my Metro Council office on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons and that my door is always open for you to stop in and "Ask Attica" what’s happening in our neighborhoods.
