Scott begins effort on abandoned properties in District 1 with “Cleaning up for Christmas”
Councilwoman Attica Scott is moving forward with plans to cleanup abandoned properties in District 1 with an effort to take care of some of the worst properties in the west and southwest areas of the district. It’s called “Cleaning up for Christmas.”
Council members host forum for public on Louisville’s next police chief Dec.1st
The Council members of Districts 1, 3, 4, 5, 6 will host an open forum on December 1st at the NIA Center to hear from residents on what they would like to see as the process gets underway. The meeting will start at 6:00pm. A second forum for District 2 residents will be held on the same night at the Newburg Community Center. This meeting will also begin at 6:00pm.

Scott encourages District 1 residents to sign up for “Code Red”
Councilwoman Attica Scott is encouraging residents and businesses of District 1 to take advantage of the new community wide alert system unveiled on Monday by Mayor Greg Fischer. Code Red is a system that can notify residents of an emergency by email, text or phone alerts.
Scott to join volunteers for Chickasaw Brightside Cleanup
Many thousands of volunteers will fan out across Metro Louisville for the Brightside Community-wide Cleanup on Saturday. In District 1, Councilwoman Attica Scott will join many residents in taking the time to remove, rake up or clean up trash and garbage from area sidewalks, streets and green spaces.

The newest member of the Louisville Metro Council spent her first day on the job learning her way around City Hall, familiarizing herself with ordinances, and outlining her plans to reach out to all residents of District 1.
