This coming Saturday, volunteers from all over the West Louisville area will fan out across a specific area of District 5 with the goal of helping their community with the aid of rakes, shovels, trash bags, paint brushes and the determination to make a difference. Councilwoman Cheri Bryant Hamilton (D-5) and Brightside will partner with the YMCA’s Black Achievers Program for a special Community Service Day on September 27th and the call is going out for additional volunteers.
