Councilwoman Tina Ward-Pugh (D-9) will be joined by Mayor Greg Fischer and members of the Billy Goat Hill Community Gardens for a special news conference on Thursday, July 28th.
The Councilwoman will present the newest and latest “Green Technology” equipment to help the environment.
The event will take place at the Billy Goat Hill Community Garden, next to Mercy Sacred Heart Village on Payne Street at 11:30am
The news conference will highlight another example of the Ninth District’s Green Triangle Initiative begun in 2009 by Councilwoman Ward-Pugh. The initiative strives to look at all community projects differently - incorporating more environmentally friendly activities and stressing tactics that improve sustainability in the 9th District neighborhoods.
Media Advisory: There will be demonstrations of the initiative on site. Councilwoman Ward-Pugh will be available for live shot interviews on Thursday after the news conference.
