Councilwoman Tina Ward-Pugh would like to extend a special invitation to residents of the Ninth District. The Ninth District Community Forum will give residents a chance to discuss their concerns or learn more about various programs in Metro Government.
“This is a chance to have your questions answered about several of the vital issues affecting our district,” says Ward-Pugh. “You can alert your government to problems in your neighborhood and have an opportunity to speak directly to your representatives.”
The Ninth District Annual Fall Community Forum will take place at the Mockingbird Gardens Clubhouse, 291 Mockingbird Gardens Drive on October 11. Residents are invited to donate their used or new shoes beginning at 5:30 pm. The shoes will be donated to EDGE Outreach to help provide clean drinking water for people in developing countries as well as disaster relief efforts. The Forum begins at 6:00 pm, with three guest speakers, and continues at 7:00 with a question and answer session.
Guest speakers include 12th District Councilman Rick Blackwell, who will be discussing the redistricting process; Dirk Gowin and Mojgan Taghizadeh from Metro Public Works, with information about the reconfiguration of Brownsboro Road; and a presentation by Masonic Homes of Louisville about their Master Plan.
“I always look forward to the conversations we have at our forums,” says Ward-Pugh. “It’s a pleasure to share our ideas with each other for how Metro Government can best work for you. Plus, new residents can meet their neighbors, and we can all learn about opportunities to get more involved in our community.”
If you have questions about the Community Forum, please contact Councilwoman Ward-Pugh’s office at 574-1109 or email kyle.ethridge@louisvilleky.gov.
