Louisville – Councilwoman Tina Ward-Pugh and United Crescent Hill Ministries will once again partner with the Louisville Asset Building Coalition (LABC) to bring four special mobile tax assistance clinics on Fridays in District 9.
“This will be our third year to assist LABC in helping low income and senior citizens in the district with a free service for those who qualify,” says Ward-Pugh. “These mobile operations have helped a great many people over the years and we stand ready to offer that assistance again.”
Four LABC mobile events will be held at United Crescent Hill Ministries (UCHM), 150 S. State Street on the following Fridays; February 8th , February 22nd, March 8th and March 22nd from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm. Volunteers will provide FREE tax preparation for individuals and families who make $50,000 or less in Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) per year.
“The economy is slowly improving but there may be many who will still benefit from the free service LABC offers in preparing tax returns.” says Ward-Pugh.
While the mobile LABC operations are located in District 9, they are open to anyone who qualifies.
The Friday FREE tax preparation will be offered by appointment only – please contact Councilwoman Ward-Pugh’s office at 574-1109 to make an appointment.
