Metro Council President Jim King (D-10) has announced the Chairs and Vice Chairs of the Metro Council’s 12 operating committees for 2011.
“The committees will be lead by a strong group of people who have the experience and solid understanding of the needs of Metro Government,” says King. “I believe the citizens of Metro Louisville will be very well served by the Council members who have been selected.”
There are only two minor adjustments for the Committees. In both cases, a minor change has been made in the committee’s name. The Government Accountability, Oversight and Ethics has been shortened to Government Accountability and Ethics. The word Bridges has been added to the title for Transportation and Public Works.
President King will be the chair of two Committees: the Committee on Committees and the Committee of the Whole. The President of the Metro Council is also an ex officio member of all committees.
