Louisville—On Friday, Metro Council meeting, President Jim King (D-10) received a formal letter of resignation from Metro Councilwoman Judith Green of District 1.
Under the rules of the Louisville Metro Council, the resignation will not take effect until the next meeting of the Council on Thursday, September 22nd.
While the letter has been received, it will still be the majority decision of the Metro Council Court to determine if it will move forward with removal proceedings.
The Council court is scheduled to meet on Monday, September 12th at 12:30p
