Councilman Miller to Host Grand Opening of new Sprayground and Playground at Long Run Park

Louisville KY: Councilman Jerry Miller (District 19) will Host the Grand Opening of a new Sprayground and renovated Playground at Long Run Park on Saturday, August 20th at 10:00 a.m. This newly renovated and expanded playground and sprayground are part of $350,000 in improvements to Long Run Park that included the addition of a multi-use field which can be used for Soccer, LaCross, Field Hockey, Football pickup games or permitted for formalized practice or game usage. Metro Parks also expanded the parking area next to the renovated playground and new sprayground. Long Run Park is a 416 acre park, located on Flat Rock Road (North of Shelbyville Rd) and was acquired by the City of Louisville in 1960. Councilman Miller will be accompanied by the Director of Metro Parks Mike Heitz, as well as Assistant Director Marty Storch.
