District 19 Councilman Jerry T. Miller to Partner with The Parklands for April 20 Cleaning of Floyds Fork Waterway
Louisville, KY – Approximately 200 volunteers are expected to join in this spring’s cleaning of the Floyds Fork Waterway in eastern Jefferson County. This effort is open to anyone interested in improving our community and is being held in conjunction with the Give-A-Day, Week of Service.
Persons interested in participating should meet at the Pricewaterhouse Coopers, LLP Pavilion in Beckley Creek Park at 10am for a welcome and kick-off. Participants will receive a detailed map and shuttling information, gloves, bags and water prior to heading out to help clean up. Participants are encouraged to bring their own canoes or kayaks if they’d like to navigate the Fork by boat. For those who do not have a boat or do not wish to paddle, there will be opportunities to walk the banks of the fork, clean up around William F. Miles Lakes, or clean up around Beckley Creek.

Date: Saturday, April 20 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
