Councilman Dan Johnson (D-21) is notifying victims of recent flooding that a special pick up of items damaged by flooding will be offered on Saturday, July 2 for homes in the Beechmont area.
“We have arranged for a special pick-up for these items from flooded basements,” says Johnson. “This collection will be only for flood damaged items and only on streets where residents have reported basement flooding to this office.”
Johnson says residents who were affected by flooding need to have their items at their regular pick up location by 7:00AM Saturday morning. If there is more than can be collected on Saturday, the crews will return on Sunday to finish.
“Again, this Saturday’s collection is only for flood damaged items. If you have other junk items they will have to be set out with your regularly scheduled junk pick-up which is coming up in July or August in the Beechmont and Iroquois neighborhoods”, says Johnson.
To see if your street is on the list for pickup of flooded items,, then contact Ray Manley in Councilman Johnson’s office at 574-1121.
