Louisville, KY –Louisville Metro Councilmen Stuart Benson (District 20) and Robin Engel (District 22) invite residents of Louisville Metro to attend a celebration of the new Charlie Vettiner Golf Clubhouse on Friday, November 18, 2011 between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
“Charlie Vettiner Park and Golf Course are important recreational assets to the people of Jefferson County. I am excited to see this investment in a facility that has been in need of help for many years. Although we are facing tough economic times, it is important to remember that having up-to-date venues like this clubhouse, our zoo and other recreational facilities do help improve quality of life and while also getting a return on investment for all residents of the community.” – Councilman Stuart Benson
“Despite tough economic times over the last three years Metro Government found it possible to find the necessary funding to invest in a state of the art facility for one of the nicest golf courses in Kentucky.” – Councilman Robin Engel
