Biography

Madonna Flood represents the neighborhoods of Okolona, Indian Falls, Cooper Farms, Woodland Manor, Southern Acres, Charleswood, Charleswood Forest, Treasure Island, Silver Heights and Cinderella Estates. 

Currently, she serves as Vice-Chair of the Metro Council's Public Safety committee. She is also a member of the Planning and Zoning Committee.

She was elected to the first Louisville Metro Council in November 2002. She re-elected in November of 2004.

Madonna is a proud lifelong resident of Okolona and is committed to making Okolona a better place to live. She is a member of the Okolona Business and Professional Association.

Her civic involvement includes serving as a trustee/secretary of the Okolona Fire Department and being a member of the State Fire Commission. She is also a past board member of the Highview Youth Sports League and a member of St. Luke’s parish, St. Vincent DePaul Society, Okolona Women’s Club and the Okolona Library Booster Club.

She graduated from Southern High School in 1975 and has an associate paralegal degree from the University of Louisville. 

Councilwoman Flood is married, and has one child, Brandon, who is a sergeant in the US Army. He is married to Stacy and they have a son, Christian Xavier. They live in Alaska.
