Councilman Yates to honor Prairie Village All Star Teams as they advance to the regionals of the Babe Ruth League

Louisville – Councilman David Yates (D-25) will be on hand to present special proclamations tonight to teams of Prairie Village Baseball/Softball as many of the league’s young athletes move on to regional play in the Babe Ruth World Series.
“I am honored to highlight the great accomplishments of the Boys and Girls teams because this community is a great supporter of baseball,” says Yates. “Now is the time for all of us to honor their victories and show our support as they challenge other teams across the country.”
Several Boys and Girls teams will be at the center of a ceremony tonight beginning at 7:00pm at the Prairie Village baseball fields located at Stonestreet Elementary, 10007 Stonestreet Road. The ceremony will also highlight the accomplishments of all teams who played Prairie Village baseball and softball this year.
The Boys 12 and Under Team will head to Lexington this Thursday to begin regional play for the Babe Ruth World Series. The Girls 12and under who were runners up in their divisions this year have been invited to the Girls World Series in Alachua, Florida beginning august 6th.
The Girls 10 and under team will be honored tonight for being the 2014 Ohio Valley Regional Champions.
