Welch and Yates form partnership for Brightside Cleanup
From Fairdale to Auburndale, the volunteers are ready with bags, gloves and determination for this Saturday’s Brightside Cleanup.Councilwoman Vicki Aubrey Welch (D-13) & Councilman David Yates (D-25) are encouraging everyone in South Louisville to get involved with groups and volunteers who will be out picking up trash and litter to keep the districts clean.

Southwest Community Ministries announce new headquarters on Terry Road
With the help of the Metro Council and the private sector SWCM is now ready better serve the less fortunate and needy in Southwest Jefferson County. SWCM celebrated the purchase of property on Terry Road. In the next few months, after clean up and renovations, the property will become the new home and headquarters of the nonprofit group

Welch, Henderson and Yates thank clean up volunteers from Nazarene Youth Conference
Several areas of Metro Louisville will get some cleanup attention on Wednesday, July 6th from about 1000 young people from all over the country. The Nazarene Youth Conferences is in Louisville and will perform a day of service that includes areas of District 13, 14, and 25.
