District 15 Breast Cancer Screening Clinic is on Thursday

In an effort to help women detect a life threatening disease, Councilwoman Marianne Butler (D-15) announces a Breast Cancer Screening Clinic on Thursday, February 19th.
“I want to encourage women to take advantage of this prevention effort,” says Butler. “Early detection can go a long way in the fight against breast cancer.”
The Breast Screening Clinic will be held from 8:30am to 3:30pm at the Salvation Army Louisville South, 1010 Beecher Street.
Mammograms will be offered for woman age 40 and over. There will be no cost to program eligible women without insurance and insurance can be filed for women who have coverage. Appointments are required. To make an appointment, call. 574-3918.
Mammograms will be given by University of Louisville Hospital and the James Graham Brown Cancer Center.
Partnering with Butler in the clinic is the Kentucky Cancer Program, the Louisville Jefferson County Partnership in Cancer Control and the Metro Louisville Department of Health and Public Wellness.
