Dr. Troutman to speak to Health and Human Needs Committee on trans fats report on Wednesday

Dr. Adewale Troutman, Director of the Metro Public Health and Public Wellness Department, will appear before the Health and Human Needs Committee on Wednesday, February 17th at the request of Chairwoman Vicki Aubrey Welch (D-13).
Dr. Troutman will discuss the recent findings of the Department’s Task Force on Trans fats. He will also review the Task Force recommendations in the report.
“This will give the committee a chance to ask Dr. Troutman questions about the report as well as current public awareness of Trans fat in Metro Louisville,” says Welch. “We look forward to hearing from Dr. Troutman.”
The Health and Human Needs Committee will meet at 4:00pm in Council Chambers. The meeting will be broadcast live on Metro TV, Insight Cable Channel 25 and will be streamed live online. Go to
