Bather Memorial Service set for Saturday, February 28th

St. Stephen Baptist Church will hold a memorial service remembering the life of former Alderman and State Representative Paul Bather will be held on Saturday, February 28th beginning at 12:00pm.
“This will be an opportunity for all who knew Paul to celebrate his life and his service to this community,” says Councilwoman Cheri Bryant Hamilton (D-5).
Bather first began political public service as Treasurer of Jefferson County, then as 12th Ward Alderman in the City of Louisville beginning in 1986 through 2000. He went on to serve the residents of the 43rd District of the Kentucky House of Representatives by first winning a special election in January of 2000 and then re-election in 2002.
He passed away on February 11th after a battle with pancreatic cancer at the age of 61.
St. Stephen is located at 15th and Kentucky in Downtown Louisville.
