Councilman Rick Blackwell will host Jefferson County Sheriff, Col. John Aubrey at the next District 12 Dialogue set for May 21st at 7:00pm.

“The Jefferson County Sheriff has an important function in our court system as well as providing essential services to the Metro Government,” says Blackwell. “He also offers assistance to local law enforcement and people should have the chance to understand the job he and his deputies perform.”

Aubrey will attend the event which will be held at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 1925 Lewiston Drive.

Representatives of other Metro Government agencies, including Metro Police, MSD, Neighborhoods and the Department of Licensing and Inspections, will also be on hand to answer questions or address concerns of residents in the area.

“With Summer at hand, there may be some new areas of concern we need to hear about,” says Blackwell. “So, I would encourage everyone to come out and talk to us.”

St. Lawrence Catholic Church abides by the Internal Revenue Code which states all section 501(c)(3) organizations are prohibited from directly or indirectly participating in any political campaign on behalf of any candidate for elective office. Therefore campaign materials of any kind for any candidate will not be permitted to be dispersed at this event.
