District 22 Councilman Robin Engel is opening a district office Friday in Fern Creek.

“One of the most important benefits of merger is that everyone in the county has local representation that is accessible,” Engel said. “This office will put us closer to the people I represent. They don’t have to come all the way downtown to our office.”

The office is in the Fern Creek Community Center at 6104 Bardstown Road. Office hours will be every Friday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The phone number at the district office is 239-4449.
