Councilwoman Madonna Flood, chairwoman of the Public Health and Safety Committee, will make an announcement at 3 p.m. today regarding the proposal to ban smoking that is currently assigned to the committee. Councilwoman Flood, D-24, will be joined by several other members of the committee and council.
The announcement will be held in the first floor conference room of City Hall, 601 West Jefferson Street.
