The grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for The Music Workshop, a venture for aspiring singers, songwriters, producers and engineers, will take place at 11 a.m. Friday at the Workshop headquarters, 624 West Main St, sixth floor.

Kevin Richardson of the Backstreet Boys, First District Councilwoman Denise Bentley, Mayor Jerry Abramson and other national celebrities will be present for the ceremony.
