Second District Councilwoman Barbara Shanklin announced today that Light Up Newburg will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday in Newburg Park, at the corner of Indian Trail and Exeter Avenue.

Lights will be flipped on at 6 p.m. Other festivities will include free hot chocolate, hot apple cider and cookies.

The event is sponsored by Councilwoman Shanklin and Metro Parks Department.
