Old Tyme Christmas on Frankfort Avenue kicks off next Saturday

Ninth District Councilwoman Tina Ward-Pugh today announced that Old Tyme Christmas on Frankfort Avenue will be held from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6.
The event will feature free Toonerville Trolley rides and horse drawn carriage rides all day along Frankfort Avenue, from Story Avenue to Cannons Lane. Most businesses along the route will host open houses and serve refreshments.
Festivities kick off at 9 a.m. with a Santa Sprint from Barret Traditional Middle School, 2561 Grinstead Drive. Other activities will be held throughout the day, including a holiday "Dress Up Your Dog" walk beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the Crescent Hill Library; 2762 Frankfort Avenue; an indoor yard sale from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at St. Joseph's Children's Home, 2823 Frankfort Avenue; and silent auction from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Crescent Hill United Methodist Church, 201 S. Peterson Ave. Santa will come to the Louisville Water Company at noon.
