Louisville Metro Council President Ron Weston will serve as grand marshal for the 2003 BlueGrass Bikefest, a three-day motorcycle event featuring a Poker Run, field events, a 10-class bike show, concerts and vendors.

The Bikefest runs from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at Bowman Field on Cannons Lane. Admission is $10 each for Friday and Sunday, and $20 for Saturday.

President Weston will lead the Poker Run, which begins at 10 a.m. Saturday. Sign-ups for the run will begin at 9 a.m., and the entrance fee is $10. All proceeds from the bike run will benefit Tree of Hope, a non-profit organization that raises funds for local charities serving underprivileged children.

The 90-mile run begins at Bowman Field, and proceeds to Shelbyville, River Road, and Jeffersonville, and ends back at Bowman Field.
