Councilman Weston to speak at King commemoration

Louisville Metro Council President Ron Weston will be the keynote speaker at the 4th annual commemoration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s contribution to the solid waste industry. The tribute begins at 6:30 p.m., April 4th at the King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church, 1620 Anderson Street.
The commemoration, hosted by Louisville Metro Solid Waste Management and Services, is part of a national tribute recognizing Dr. King’s support for sanitation workers, and bringing attention to the work of sanitation workers in this country.
Dr. King was assassinated April 4, 1968 while protesting poor working conditions for sanitation workers in Memphis.
