Councilman Engel to hold District 22 cleanup

Councilman Robin Engel and the Fern Creek Chamber of Commerce are teaming up to sponsor Community Clean-up Day on Saturday, Oct. 2.
Registration will begin at 8:45 a.m. at the Fern Creek Community Center, 6104 Bardstown Road. Coffee, juice and doughnuts will be provided. The cleanup will be held from 9:00 a.m. to noon.
Brightside will provide bags, gloves and T-shirts. Volunteers should wear comfortable clothing and shoes.
Engel requests that business owners who can’t participate that day give volunteers a head start by weeding and collecting litter in front of their businesses and on their block before the Oct. 2. cleanup effort.
