Twenty fourth District Councilwoman Madonna Flood will help host Light Up Okolona, which kicks off at 5:45 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19 at Lone Oak Park, located at the corner of Outer Loop and Preston Highway. (Parking is available at nearby businesses.) Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive at 6:30 p.m. to turn on the lights.

Free cookies, hot chocolate, candy canes and musical entertainment will be offered.

The event is sponsored by the Okolona Business and Professional Association.
