The Louisville Metro Council's ad hoc committee studying a proposed smoking ban will meet at 4:30 p.m. Monday, March 15th in the Metro Council Chambers, third floor of City Hall, 601 W. Jefferson St.

During the meeting, Maria Ramirez, a graduate student at the Kent School of Social Work, who has been conducting her practicum internship at Metro Council since August 2003, will present her research on local public opinion on a smoking ban, according to Councilman George Melton, D-15, the committee's chairman.

The meeting is open to the public.
