District 17 Councilman Glen Stuckel is holding a public meeting at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 27 to update residents on Metro Government issues.

Among other things, Metro Parks Director Mike Heitz will give district residents an opportunity to discuss improvements to Hounz Park and view proposed plans.

Stuckel was successful in obtaining $40,000 in this year’s budget to be spent on improvements at the park.

In addition, Barry Sanders, interim director of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s District 5 office, will be available to answer questions.

The meeting will be held in the community room of the Republic Bank located at 9600 Brownsboro Road.
