Metro Councilman Downard and Former Councilwoman Bentley to collect gifts for Metro Louisville Children

Louisville, KY - Metro Councilman Kelly Downard (District 16) and Denise Bentley, former District 1 Councilwoman and current Special Assistant to the Governor, will be at the corner of Sixth Street and Jefferson Street collecting new, unwrapped presents for children of woman incarcerated at the Pee Wee Valley Correctional Facility. Dressed up as Mr. and Mrs. Clause, Downard and Bentley will collect toys from 7:30am until 9am each of the next three Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
Persons who bring a toy to the corner of Sixth Street and Jefferson Street will not only be greeted by Mr. & Mrs. Clause but will also be given a fresh Doughnut, donated by Krispy Kreme and a hot cup of Jon Conti's Coffee. While all forms of assistance are encouraged, participants are asked not to donate toy weapons.
Gift Collection Dates: November 29th, December 1st, December 6th, December 8th, December 13th & December 15th.
