The Louisville Metro Council's ad hoc Arena Committee will hold its first meeting at 5 p.m. Monday, according to Councilman Dan Johnson, chairman of the committee. The meeting will be held in the Council Chambers, third floor of City Hall.
During the meeting, staff will give a presentation of the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, which was completed in 2000.
In addition, Councilman Johnson, D-21, said the committee will create a citizens advisory commission to gather input from residents, business leaders and other interested parties. The commission will report to the Arena Committee.
The committee will also develop a timeline for issues to be addressed.
