Louisville – Councilwoman Mary C. Woolridge (D) 3 will join Mayor Jerry Abramson and Kentucky Governor Ernie Fletcher in announcing a statewide grant program to target child abuse prevention through an initiative of substance abuse recovery and treatment.

There will be a news conference on Tuesday October 24th at 9:45 am. The announcement will be made at the Bridges of Hope Neighborhood Place, 1411 Algonquin Parkway in Louisville.

Councilwoman Woolridge is chairwoman of the Metro Council’s Heath and Human Services Committee. The Bridges of Hope Neighborhood Place is located in District 6 which is represented by Councilman George Unseld.
