In an effort to make himself accessible to his constituents, Councilman Tom Owen (D) 8 is pedaling his way through the neighborhoods he represents.

“It is my plan to bike in front of every household in the District,” says Owen. “ If anyone would like for me to stop by for a brief chat, I’ll be glad to.”

District 8 is made up of nine neighborhoods. This week Owen kicked off the effort by riding through the portion of the Bashford Manor Neighborhood which is part of the district.

“It’s always good to get out and see what’s going,” says Owen. “It’s a chance to remind myself of the uniqueness and concerns of each of these areas. It is also another chance for people to have access to their councilman.”

If you would like for Councilman Owen to stop by your home just let him know about ten days before he rides through a specific neighborhood. Call his office at 574-1108.
