AT&T, Louisville Metro Council, and Hilliard Lyons Sponsor ConnectKentucky’s Donation of New Computers to Non-profits to Support Participants’ Education
What: Ceremony celebrating the donation of technology through the No Child Left Offline program to Boy’s Haven, All Care Community Center, South West YMCA, The Lighthouse and the Cabbage Patch Settlement Home.

Who: Joan Coleman, President AT&T Kentucky, Ellen Jones, AT&T; Councilman Ken Fleming, Councilman Doug Hawkins, Councilwoman Judith Green, Louisville Metro Council; Andrew McNeill, ConnectKentucky, Vern Rickert, Boys Haven and Directors from recipient non-profits
Why: The donation will be made as part of a $150,000 grant from the AT&T Foundation, the corporate philanthropy organization of AT&T Inc., $28,000 from the Louisville Metro Council and $5,000 from Hilliard Lyons. The partnership is designed to deliver computers to charities that support and deliver services to disadvantaged children and their families after school hours in Jefferson County. The partnership is committed to building common understanding about the importance and relevance of technology, enhancing excellence in underprivileged populations, enabling individuals to improve their lives through technological exposure all while reinforcing their commitment to education and society.
