-It is not necessary to have one, however it is possible several Easter bonnets will be on display when the 17th Annual Frankfort Avenue Easter Parade 2009 gets underway on Saturday, April 11th.
“I want to invite everyone to come out and stroll Frankfort Avenue for what has become a tradition in District 9,” said Councilwoman Tina Ward-Pugh. “The Frankfort Avenue Business Association has once again planned a fun event for friends and family.”
The Easter Parade will get underway at 11:30am in front of St. Mark’s, 2822 Frankfort Avenue and then head downtown ending at Haldeman Avenue. The Grand Marshall this year is Margaret Browning of Margaret’s Consignment and Collectibles. She will be accompanied by the Easter Bunny.
“The great thing about this parade is anyone can participate,” said Ward-Pugh. “All they have to do is show up.”
The Parade will include antique cars, marching bands, dance teams, horse drawn carriages, neighborhood groups, businesses and floats.
