Budget Committee announces guidelines for June 16th & 17th public hearing

Councilman Jim King (D-10), Chair of the Metro Council Budge Committee has announced the guidelines for two public hearings on the proposed 2009- 2010 Metro Government Budget.
“This is an opportunity for any citizen or group who is outside of a government agency to come forward and let us know what they believe should be priorities for the coming fiscal year,” says King. “We will be ready to listen.”
There will be two public hearings:
Tuesday, June 16th from 10:00AM to 12:00PM
Wednesday, June 17th from 6:00PM to 8:00PM
As was the case in past years, the various agencies, individual citizens and others may sign up to speak at 16th and June 17th in the following manner:
June 16th signups are from 9:00AM to 10:00AM, Third Floor City Hall. The Metro Council Clerk’s office will be present at 9:00 AM to assist.
June 17th signups are from 5:00PM to 6:00 PM, Third Floor City Hall. The Metro Council Clerk’s Office will be present at 5:00 PM to assist.
There will be no phone calls. All signups must be done in person.
