Shanklin announces Newburg Movie Nights in August

Councilwoman Barbara Shanklin (D-2) is offering something special for families and residents of Newburg and it’s free: Newburg Movie Nights.
“I have seen how popular free movies have become in other Council Districts,” says Shanklin. “So, I want to give families in Newburg and Norfolk a way to spend time together as the summer winds down.”
Newburg Movie Nights will get underway on the last two Saturday’s of the month of August. The movies will be shown in Petersburg Park beginning at dusk.

“Madagascar 2: Escape 2 Africa” August 22nd
Voices of Chris Rock, Jada Pinkett Smith & Cedric the Entertainer
Tyler Perry’s “Madea Goes to Jail” August 29th
With Tyler Perry, Derek Luke & Keisha Knight-Pulliam
Admission to Newburg Movie Nights is free. Petersburg Park is located off of Indian Trail in Newburg. For more information, contact Councilwoman Shanklin’s office at 574-1102.
