Councilmen Hawkins to Sponsor Responsible Dog Ownership Day

Louisville, KY – Councilman Doug Hawkins (District 25) and the Louisville Kennel Club are partnering to encourage responsible dog ownership by holding an event that will offer free rabies shots, and significantly reduced fees for microchipping. The event will be held on Saturday, May 30th from 9:00a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Jefferson Community Technical College, Southwest Campus, located off Stonestreet Road (1000 Community College Road). Please contact the office of Councilman Hawkins at 574-1125 with any questions.
Karen Brinkley, with the Louisville Kennel Club, is organizing volunteers. Volunteers are needed to:
• Help venders set up display booths
• Direct visitors to various stations and provide informational services
• Fill out required forms needed to receive rabies shots, microchipping,..etc.
• Face painting for children
