Councilman James Peden to Hold Crime Detection Walk

Louisville, KY – Metro Councilman James Peden (District 23) along with the LMPD 7th Division and Wal-Mart are working together to hold a Crime Detection Walk on Tuesday, May 19th from 4:30p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Due to a recent surge in crime in the area, it is more important than ever to talk with residents about how to be vigilant and keep their neighborhoods safe. Councilman Peden and Metro Police Officers will be walking door to door distributing safety awareness information and offering crime prevention tips to residents.
The walk will start at the Wal-Mart Shopping Center, 11901 Standiford Plaza Dr. at 4:30 p.m. (off Preston Highway, near the Bullitt Co. line)
The areas to be covered include Caven Village, Ashbrooke Gardens and Largrove Estates or roughly the area bounded by Preston Hwy, Mt Washington Rd, the Bullitt Co line and Penn Run Creek.
