Please join us as we party like it's 1778 here on the grounds of Historic Locust Grove as we celebrate the opening of our new exhibits and gallery space.
The July 4th date was chosen to comemorate the anniversary of the day that George Rogers Clark's Illinois Regiment captured the British fort at Kaskaskia, Illinois, in 1778. This victory secured the Northwest Territory for the new nation. Reenactors from George Rogers Clark's Illinois Regiment will be at Locust Grove to help us celebrate.
After July 4th, admission to the Gallery will be $3 or included in the regular house tour fee of $6. Concessions will also be available July 4.
