Riverside, the Farnsley-Moremen Landing will hold its annual Heritage Festival on Saturday, October 11 from noon-5 p.m. Join us for great Kentucky music by Fresh Cut Grass Noon-2 p.m. and the nationally recognized Juggernaut Jug Band (2:30-5 p.m.). Other fun family activities at the Heritage Festival include: period craft demonstrations (blacksmithing, weaving, spinning, broommaking, and more!), horse-drawn carriage rides, pony rides, pumpkin painting, an archaeology dig and tours of the Farnsley-Moremen House (built circa 1837). Admission to the event is free, but some activities will require the purchase of a ticket. This event is held in conjunction with the Southwest Community Festival at nearby Sun Valley Park. Free trolleys will shuttle people between Sun Valley and Riverside all afternoon (Noon-5 p.m.).
