Metro Parks has scheduled a final public meeting to present the draft final plans for the Olmsted Parkways Multi-Use Path System project being designed along approximately 10 miles of the Olmsted Parkways in Louisville, including Eastern Parkway, Southern Parkway, Algonquin Parkway, and Southwestern Parkway.
The meeting takes place from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 23, 2007, in the Community Room and the Gym at the South Louisville Community Center, 2911 Taylor Boulevard. Please find ample parking in the rear of the community center, entering from 9th Street or Iowa Street.
The purpose of this public meeting is to present the draft final master plan for increasing bicycle and pedestrian opportunities along the historic Olmsted parkway system. The plans will illustrate the preferred corridors for multiuse paths and on-street bicycle lanes, and the accompanying site amenities (like lighting, paving, benches, etc.).
