Outdoor pools will remain open through mid-August
It's the peak of the summer and there has never been a better time to unwind at our
Metro Parks Summer Pools. All 11 pools will remain open through mid-August.
“Our summer pools are a great, affordable place for people of all ages to cool off and exercise,” said Mayor Jerry Abramson. “This year, as part of our Healthy Hometown Movement’s focus on lifelong fitness, we’re opening three pools for extended hours for lap swimming or senior citizen exercise programs.” More information about the Mayor’s Healthy Hometown Movement can be found online.
Two pools offer new extended lap swimming hours for $2 per person. Breslin Park’s pool is open for lap swimming on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:15 to 7:45 p.m. Watterson Elementary School’s pool offers lap swimming on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Additionally, Sun Valley Park’s pool is now open exclusively for seniors on Mondays from 10 a.m. to noon, for $2 per person.
