Metro Parks, Councilwoman Barbara Shanklin hosting final master planning meeting for Petersburg Park

The master planning process for Petersburg Park in the Newburg neighborhood will conclude with a public meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, September 20, at the Newburg Branch Library, 4800 Exeter Avenue.
Metro Parks staff and the project consultants will be on hand to discuss the results of the master plan. The meeting is sponsored by Councilwoman Barbara Shanklin (District 2). Councilwoman Shanklin invites her constituents and all users of Petersburg Park to attend this meeting and assure they have participation in the planning and finalization plans of their park.

About the park:
Petersburg Park is a 28-acre park in the Newburg neighborhood located off Indian Trail in southeastern Louisville. The Newburg Community Center, Newburg Boys and Girls Club and Newburg Middle School are all located nearby, and the park contains an exercise trail, ball fields, tennis courts, a stage and a recently-opened sprayground.
