Metro Parks hosting initial master planning meeting for Petersburg Park
Monday March 1, 2010
LOUISVILLE (March 1, 2010) – The master planning process for Petersburg Park in the Newburg neighborhood will begin with a public meeting at 6 p.m. on Monday, March 15, at Newburg Middle School, 4901 Exeter Avenue.
“These initial meetings during the master planning process are essential for residents to attend,” said Lisa Hite, senior planner for Metro Parks. “We are always interested in hearing from concerned citizens, and we don’t want them to miss their opportunity to be heard.”Because this is the first public meeting on the project, Metro Parks staff and engineers will be on hand to discuss the master planning process and listen to residents express their “wish list” for what they’d like to see in Petersburg Park.
Project team members will conduct interactive group discussions, and the information that comes from those sessions will be used in further development of the master plan.
